Our History
InnerNewsCorp President James Farmer recently received the 2019 Community Heath Advocate Award from the Colorado Community Health Network (CCHN). CCHN is an organization that advocates for 800,000 patients, over 200 clinical sites, and over 20 FQHC health systems. Farmer is the primary representative for InnerNewsCorp and formerly of Innovative Resources, Co., and their public relations programs. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) since 1999 with training in media relations, crisis communications, internal communications, and mass media and has been a working journalist in new and traditional media.
Farmer's background includes working as publisher of a daily newspaper, and a print and electronic (radio/TV/web) journalist. In addition, Farmer also has experience as a public relations/marketing director for a public institution of higher education and the marketing director of an award-winning super-regional shopping center with sales in excess of $300 million. While director of the center, one special event drew over 25,000 visitors in a few hours to the center. While working with a county health agency another event drew over 8,000 people for a blood draw health screening over a single weekend. Farmer was the director of communications/institutional research in higher education for a public community college in Colorado. In addition, Farmer also has over two decades of experience with public and private policymakers in health care and higher education.
Our Top Projects
Currently! - Flawed Markets: A review and analysis of the healthcare system in the United States. This project is an ongoing collection of ideas and real world solutions on ways to improve access, reduce cost, and save lives in our current political healthcare environment. This will use existing resources as of Summer 2019 to improve access, intervention, and quality of care.
SlopeScope: An in-depth radio series of reviews and updates on Skiing and Ski Areas.
